Fuel Injector Maintenance

Jun 07, 2026 Leave a message

As precision components, fuel injectors directly affect engine power output and fuel economy. Regular maintenance is necessary to ensure performance, and periodic cleaning is required to prevent carbon buildup and nozzle clogging. Therefore, regular maintenance is essential.

It is recommended to clean the injectors every 20,000 kilometers, or inspect them every 50,000 kilometers, or even replace them every 60,000 kilometers. When maintaining or replacing fuel injectors, a balanced test must be performed to ensure balanced fuel injection across all cylinders. The difference in fuel injection volume between each injector per unit time should not exceed 3-6% of the total fuel injection volume. The key to maintenance is balanced fuel injection and leak prevention. A leak test must be performed using a special test fluid under specified pressure, allowing 1-2 drops of the test fluid to drip per minute.
