Ignition timing directly impacts engine performance and efficiency. The ECU analyzes signals from sensors such as the crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor to accurately determine the position and movement of the engine pistons, thereby precisely controlling the ignition timing of the ignition system.

 

At low engine speeds, the ECU appropriately delays the ignition timing to ensure smooth engine operation; conversely, at high engine speeds, the ECU advances the ignition timing to fully utilize combustion energy and increase engine power. Through this precise ignition timing control, the engine achieves efficient combustion, increasing power output while reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
